St. Joseph’s Church Sodality Meeting Agenda 2010-2011

The focus this year will be on the virtue of Hope for Catholic women.
September 5, 2010– At this meeting we will greet any new members, elect officers, and discuss the upcoming year and our plans and events. In addition, we will design the logo for our tee-shirts and discuss the KerryTown Bookfest on Sept 12.
September 12, 2010—Kerrytown Bookfest. We will be representing St. Joseph’s Media.
October 3, 2010– This meeting will focus on the games and volunteers for the All Saints’ Party. We will also begin to plan our charity Christmas projects and learn to make bead chaplets.
All Saint’s Party (date TBD) – We will be doing the games at the party.
November 7, 2010– We will plan our charity projects and work on our chaplets.
December 5, 2010 – We will work on our Christmas charity projects.
December (date TBD) – Caroling
January (date TBD) – Pilgrimage to St. Florian’s, St. Josephat’s, and Sweetest Heart of Mary. Lunch at Polish restaurant in Hamtramck.
February 6, 2011 –At this meeting we will begin to plan the summer camp-out.
March 6, 2011– Summer camp planning, continued. We will also make some chaplets and learn how to make a rosary.
April 3, 2011 – We will plan the activities for the children’s Good Friday and continue with summer camp planning.
Good Friday for Children, April 22, 2011– We will be having games and other activities for children during Good Friday, Noon-3 PM.
May 1, 2011 – Sodality Ceremonies
June (date TBD) – Summer camp-out.

Sodality News for April
Thanks to all of you for helping to make the Good Friday for children such a success! The kids really loved doing their projects and playing their games. It means alot to the parents to have their children occupied and learning about the Faith while they attend Good Friday services.
Our car wash will be sometime late May. I propose Saturday, May 22nd. In case it rains, we can move it up to the following Saturday. Let me know if this is a good date for you.
The ceremonies for Sodality will take place on Sunday, June 6 at 9:30 Mass.

February News
First of all, I apologize for not being at the last meeting. I had the flu, so was really not up to it.
I have the scrapbooking supplies, so we can work on some pages at our next meeting.
Father gave the "OK" for our car wash! It will be a great fund raiser. Let's decide on a good day at our next meeting.
Also at our next meeting we need to plan on what activities we will have for the Good Friday for Children. As most of us are in choir as well, we have to decide on who will sing and who will work with the children, OK?
I will not be in town for Mother's Day for the flower sale, so someone will have to be in charge. I will ask Julie to see if she will do this.
